History Day
What is History Day?
National History Day is a year-long curriculum enhancement program that engages students in grades 6-12 in the process of discovery and interpretation of historical topics. Students produce dramatic performances, imaginative exhibits, multimedia documentaries, websites, and research papers based on research related to an annual theme. These projects are then evaluated at local, state, and national competitions. The 2014 Competition theme is Rights and Responsibilities in History. For complete information about History Day, go to: http://www.tennesseehistoryday.org. When can I visit TSLA? We like to spend extra time with students and teachers who are new to the facility. We urge you to call (615) 253-3469 in advance or email education.tsla@tn.gov to make an appointment with a member of our education outreach team. Updated June 20, 2013 |
